Reed McClure has extensive experience defending clients who manufacture and distribute goods alleged to be unreasonably dangerous in design or construction. We possess the knowledge and experience to deal with this specialized area of law. We have successfully represented clients in consumer, industrial, maritime, and pharmaceutical product liability cases. Our clients include manufacturers, component suppliers, designers, and product sellers.
We represented a driver in a sudden, unintended acceleration case. Her engine opened full throttle when she shifted into gear, crashing into a customer at a gas station. The jury determined the driver was not responsible and found the manufacturer was 100% liable. We demonstrated the problem resulted from a power control module that had short circuited.
Plaintiff sued our client, the distributor of a motorized scooter, when he was injured while operating the device. The jury rejected plaintiff’s arguments about faulty brake and throttle design and returned a defense verdict.
We successfully defended a component supplier in a wrongful death claim. The plaintiff’s husband died when a truck camper jack failed and the camper collapsed on him.
