David Reeve represents defendants in disputes involving general negligence, motor vehicle and trucking accidents, timber trespass, condominium associations, construction accident/defect, premises liability, product liability, and claims of bad faith through trial and appeal. He is currently licensed to practice in state and federal courts in Washington and New York.
David was born in Newport Beach, California and moved to Seattle, Washington while in high school. He graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Economics and a minor in Philosophy. In 2009, he received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School with an emphasis in litigation and appellate advocacy. While in law school, Mr. Reeve completed a judicial internship with Justice John M. Leventhal of the New York Appellate Division, Second Department.
David’s legal career began in New York City, where he defended property owners, developers, construction contractors, and telecom companies in state and federal court against first- and third-party insurance claims for personal injury and breach of contract. Upon relocating to Seattle in 2015, his practice evolved to include medical malpractice claims in the context of hospital and/or physician negligence, product liability, and pharmaceutical drugs. Prior to joining Reed McClure in 2019, David practiced with a national insurance defense firm in its Seattle offices. He has successfully resolved numerous cases through dispositive motions and negotiation, saving his clients from the significant time and expense of trial. He has also successfully briefed and argued matters before the New York Appellate Division and Washington Court of Appeals.
In his free time, David is an avid photographer, climber, and guitarist. He also enjoys hiking and backpacking throughout the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
