Mr. Burky was born and raised in Maine. He then moved to the Midwest to attend a dual-degree engineering program at Washington University and Principia College. After earning degrees in Engineering Science and Civil Engineering, he worked for several years as a Civil and Environmental Engineer at a large consulting firm in San Francisco (URS Corporation, now AECOM). Mr. Burky later returned to St. Louis and earned his law degree at Washington University Law in 2007. Before joining Reed McClure in 2018, he spent several years focusing on financial services litigation matters at law firms in San Francisco and Seattle. Mr. Burky is admitted to practice law in Washington, California, Idaho, and Massachusetts.
Mr. Burky met his wife, Amy, while teaching sailing at a summer camp in Maine, shortly after taking his first bar exam. In 2015, he and Amy moved to Seattle with their two young children (now, ages 4 and 5). He loves exploring Seattle, especially Discovery Park, with his family and Golden Retriever, Moxie. Mr. Burky also loves tennis and plays on several leagues in Seattle. Whistler, British Columbia, is one of his favorite destinations. His entire family, including his 4-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son, enjoys skiing and outdoor activities.
